When I store my car for the winter in my garage I put a battery charger on it, fuel stabilizer and then leave it until spring My question is it better to leave it alone or start it say monthly?

I may be the naysayer, but I bought my 2006 Solstice in Chicago in 2009, had it there from 2009-2014 It was always garage-kept, especially during winter months except for the occassional day when streets were dry
