@BOSTON20182025, I don’t think the ED deferred kid in your situation necessarily has an edge I don’t If the ED kid was deferred, they are released from the ED agreement and are no longer bound to attend Could come down to geographics or another diversity factor I speak from my own opinion, with a D who was deferred from her ED school

My son was deferred and was asked to submit the ECI essay As I posted in the other UM group (the EA one), when he went to put in his 250 word essay ECI “letter” the prompt was no longer there They had deleted it and now it was just a free writing thing He decided to keep his as is because it was the 250 words after cutting it down already

First, remember, RD apps are due by 2 1 So all those applicants who were deferred are now in the RD pool Second, again, if their in-state yield rate is running higher than normal, then Michigan may be less likely to choose an applicant from their in-state RD pool And vice versa
