Hi all, To those of you who use bismuth what shot sizes do you recommend for divers and geese? I will be purchasing both 12 Ga and 20 Ga loads My shots are often at varied ranges anywhere from 20-50 yds I'm considering Boss but Winchester bismuth, and the Hevi Xii (I know not bismuth) look

Short story: Last season went to a hunting spot and watched couple of flocks (geese) fly over at 50 yds just out of range I use a nice hitting number 4 at 1450 to 1500 and get a good count of 180 average at 40 yds that is where I shoot 40 yds, no farther After making a 100 miles and time

20 gauge is fine for geese i've used 20 gauges before for geese and one of my friends, the only gun he owns is a 20 gauge, and he kills geese no problem on a regular basis

A 12 gauge 2 3 4 BB will kill geese, Ive shot several, BUT, you have to have them IN RANGE Don't go thinking you've got a 60 yard load Its fine up to 35 yards for small and medium geese, but for big geese its a 25 yard max load Pattern a few at different distances to see what % of pellets you have at the yardage I mentioned JMHO
