The "Muse Hub Background Service" which is installed along with Muse Hub doesn't allow to control it's startup behavior (the options are greyed out) and it is set to Automatic, meaning it starts every time the system starts

Muse Hub is the installer program for MuseScore and other products from the Muse Group, including Audacity etc that’s what does the torrent thing Uninstalling MuseScore wouldn’t uninstall Muse Hub, since it is used for more than just MuseScore

Okay I've finally found what worked for me In the search bar next to your Windows Start Button, search MuseHub If no apps show up, try searching one letter at a time (It would show up on "MuseHu" for me but then it would disappear on "MuseHub") Once you've found the program, you can click Application Settings and then scroll down and click Uninstall

For MuseScore, use “Download MuseScore without Muse Hub” which is msi file, and launch that At least on my Windows 10 system, both installers give an option to select where to install, so I don’t see why it couldn’t be an external drive Here is a documentation about making a portable install of Audacity, if that’s what you meant

For future reference, indeed, while Muse Hub does allow you to change the install location, MuseScore doesn't support locations on non-default drives, so that's probably the source of the problem
