Hey! Currently deciding between a Remo CS Dot and Ambassador X for my snares Snares include, Tama Starphonic Aluminum and a Tama Star Bubinga Would love to know which is more open? How different do they sound? Specific differences between the two? Thanks!

I am cleaning it up, buffing the interior a bit and installing a new Remo Ambassador top head drum, plus putting an Ahead S-hoop that I have laying around on the top Drum has original Remo UT snare side head that seems a little stretched out (not bad shape though, this drum has been played a little but is in very good shape)

I believe they were Remo's answer to the Evans hydraulics epidemic in the mid-late 70s I hated the hydraulics, but I needed something beefier and more durable than Ambassadors, and Pinstripes fit the bill Even though I use other heads from time to time, I still consider Pinstripes as my default tom batter head unless I need something different

I bought this kit new in 1989 It is a Remo with the Quadura wrap and Acusticon SE shells in a 2 up one down with the Remo snare They sound good especially the snare drum My question is are these worth anything ? do they have a collect ability due to them being somewhat of an 'oddball' ? My

Remo's collar is designed to require the seating process so many of us learned with those heads in order to fit onto most drums The Evans Level 360 collar was a design change made to remove the need for seating and make it easier to tune while increasing the tuning range (which it delivered on)
