I've got an older JD 1207 sickle type haybine and some of the rubber is beginning to peel off the rollers in between the cogs Is there anything a person can use in the spots where its begining to peel in order to prevent further deterioration? Or just start saving for new rollers?

I’m not sure if the hydraulic ports behind the tractor are the same on all manufacturers but my lever one operation hydraulic oil applied to valve port 1 is a forced return type (applied to detent types) Can someone explain what the force type and detent types is for?
