SoCal needs a rule that says clubs can’t force you to register for next year until the state cup is over Tryout is Feb 12 and normally you are asked to register for next year that same week If you are changing teams, how are you going to finish state cup if the games go until March? In a perfect world tryouts would happen after State Cup

The format is different than last year's SoCal State Cup and more in line with the way that Cal South has done State Cup in the past I'm assuming that 16 teams will make it out of the groups which means Top 2 teams in each group and 4 wild cards I'm curious to see how SoCal is going to decide the wild cards It's looking like there will be some competitive groups Don't sleep on some of

Its socal admitting they completely botched the flights and are remedying it slightly through state cup bracketing Also, now that all regions are playing in one flight, the very weak flight 1 teams can be reseeded to play where they would have if there were no regions for league play Now we wont have any posts about 17-0 state cup games

SoCal State Cup starts in October 2021 with pool play running parallel to the league season Pool play games will be run the weekends of Oct 2nd 3rd (Game #1), Oct 16th 17th (Game #2), Oct 23rd 24th (Game #3) and Feb 12th 13th 2022 (Game #4) Knock out rounds will be last weekend in Feb with semi's and finals the first weekend in March 2022

What's even the relevance of "State Cup" these days (particularly for U12 and above), given all the different leagues and gaming circuits? I think its good for the non GA or ECNL teams IMO if your GA or ECNL you shouldn't be allowed to join SoCal State Cup I think its very unfortunate and frankly sad when GA or ECNL teams join state cup
