On 10 July 2025, the Department of Home Affairs will introduce Multi-factor Authentication to SkillSelect to enhance user security From that date, to log in, you must enter a code sent to the email address used to create your EOI
- Invitation rounds
Invitation rounds will be run periodically during the program year for: Skilled Independent visa (subclass 189) Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) visa (subclass 491) – Family Sponsored In each round, invitation numbers may vary depending on the number of onhand applications State or territory government nominations for skilled visas will not be affected by the departmental invitation

After you submit your Expression of Interest Your EOI will remain active in SkillSelect for 2 years from when you submit it During this time we may invite you to apply for a visa Keep your EOI up to date You can access and update your EOI any time before you receive an invitation to apply for a visa

Change a SkillSelect password Forgotten password Click on the 'forgotten password link' on the application page Follow the prompts to make a new password The EOI ID starts with the letter 'E' followed by ten numbers You will need to be able to answer the security questions you nominated when you created your Expression of Interest
