From what I'm hearing and seeing seems like Wix filter quality has taken a big hit lately with the Mann+Hummel purchase I picked up some 51516 Wix for my Fusion but starting to second guess with all the negative reviews I've been seeing

I have a question regarding two oil filters, and their NAPA Gold equivalents 1) According to O'Reilly's and Wix's data, the Wix 51592 has a nominal micron rating of 19, but according to NAPA the Gold 1592 has a nominal micron rating of 16, and can filter down to 8 (at a lower percentage)

Here are the efficiency curves of the filters The Fram seems to be the clear winner in terms of average efficiency, based on the area under the curve The Purolator looks quite good as well The Wix seems to do alright in the loading phase, but it seems that they either cut the test short, or that they just took fewer measurements, in which case the x-axis doesn't actually represent elapsed

Have always used the regular Wix oil filters with good success Is there much difference in filtering capabilities and the amount of dirt the XP will hold opposed to the regular filter Also, any issues with the XP being restrictive in terms of good oil pressure? Thank You in advance

Also just as a update of sorts, I live in Canada, and I just ordered 3 more Wix filters off of Amazon ca They are sold and shipped by Amazon ca however it looks like they come from a company on Quebec maybe? In the additional information about the product on Amazon, it says specifically that the Wix filters are made in the USA

Do Wix transmission filters offer better filtration properties than A C Delco or Motocraft? Not concerned about price, just wondering if it's smart to buy a filter from the same company hoping to sell me my next vehicle(s)? Is there another superior brand out there that would be a better choice?

Mann makes filters for a few labels-Wix Purolator are two Premium Guard makes filters with LOTS of different brand names, there’s Baldwin, Hengst, Gonher, Purflux, a host of other manufacturers out there
