- Extractors for Centerlock rotors and Shimano HG cassette
Looking at the parts and searching online I came to the conclusion I need a lockring tool like Shimano TL-LR10 for both operations, but this struck me as surprising, because I expected Centerlock to require something different) Can somebody confirm, or direct me to the correct solution?
- Why does a Shimano centerlock rotor have free play?
I have an electric road bike that has SM-RT64 Shimano centerlock brake rotor in the front I have noticed that when I press the front brake and try to rock the bike back and forth, there's some free play somewhere in the braking system

The problem: Avid BB7 Calipers don't play nice with many of the popular Shimano Centerlock rotors The center spider on these rotors can extend so far that it fouls the little brass tabs at the base of the BB7 brake pads, especially if you're using the smallest, 160mm rotors

- How to adjust Shimano M315 disc brakes? - Bicycles Stack Exchange
I presume from your statement " less effective than usual " the brakes are not working as well as the used to This means they probably need a bleed First thing to check is reach adjust, that the M315 have, It could be the lever is hitting end of travel before getting to full braking power In this case the bite point will be close to the start of lever travel, just not much lever travel
- Can I use a Center Lock hub and disc brake rotor in place of an ISO hub?
7 I currently have a regular ISO disc brake hub and rotor on my front wheel I'd like to replace it with a Shimano generator hub, but all Shimano hubs use Center Lock rotors instead of ISO The Center Lock to ISO adapters seem really hokey, so I was thinking I could just get a new Center Lock rotor of the same size
