Re: GPUpdate Force Fails to Apply Thanks for replying I had to re-image the machine because no one responded in time But, I did run GPRESULT per the gpupdate force instructions and the only red X I saw was that it could not connect to the network, but I was plugged in directly and could access network drives and RDP into servers

Augh, simply one thing after another for me Ok so I solved all of my roaming profile issues and came into work today to pull things together I applied another couple of little GPO settings, running gpupdate force every so often succesfully I then deleted all my users to recreate them

I got an interesting issue at work We noticed few PCs with this problem 1 gpupdate force does not work It can't pull group policy 2 Software center does not work 3 Cannot connect to company wifi Those are the known symptoms I managed to get it to connect to company wifi, but symptom 1

Re: GPO not updating using group policy management perhaps Im doing it wrong then Using just the gpedit msc the GPO took effect but had to logoff user gpupdate force didnt work, but this included the administrator and the managers user account In the gpmc under 'Group Policy Objects' I have a new GPO called 'Terminal Users'

However, after enabling and doing a gpupdate force, I tried again only to receive the same message from the server manager GUI Then, I tried using a Powershell command, Uninstall-WindowsFeature -Remove Web-Server and that successfully removed the IIS role Funny how that works

Re: DNS Client events 8018 + 11163 Can you post the "ipconfig all" here Also are these machines Virtual or physical Have you tried "ipconfig flushdns" and then "ipconfig registerdns" if does not work try "netsh winsock reset" and restart the servers Are these machines pointed to internal DNS servers only or do they also have a Public DNs such as 8 8 8 8 or ISP's DNS server address as well?

I have set the logon hours on a users profile and am trying to force that user to log off after 8pm via GPO I have gone into network security settings and set the option to force logoff after logon hours expire but even after doing gpupdate force on the pc concerned then it gets to the time and then still doesnt log off the PC if I manually log off then try and log back in then I get the

If I run a manual gpupdate on these machines, it refreshes group policy and it also logs the 1501 event into the system event log which in turn triggers our scheduled task to fire

Answers 1 Sign in to vote Hi, Applying policy on clients may takeabout 90 minutes, you can forced the policy by running gpupdate force command on clients
