Hello just wanted to findout what is the best setup to use for brook trout ice fishing in vivian lake I have gone out acouple of time but can seem to land any fish I know that Vivian Lake has brook trout and some Kokanee but I would like to catch a brook trout but having a hard time catching them

I have used worms on jigging rods, suspending them just below the ice for trout, or deeper for panfish On tip-ups, you may have to tweak the tripping mechanism if the fish bite lightly, but otherwise you should be fine Depending on where I fish, I will mix my rigs so that I use tip-up and jigging rods, with minnows, worms or just micro jigs

40S AND RAIN The ice in the Northeast will be fine with this warm up, it's going to melt some of the snow which will be a good thing I was just looking at the weather and there's no rain until at least Wednesday near my house so I'm not worried about that And if it did rain it would compress the snow and when it freezes at night it'd make walking easier The only "bad" thing is all the fair
