After getting numerous Youtube recommendations to check out this guy's content, I watched a handful of videos and came away feeling like 'my goodness, what's the point of all this?'

I think Dave Hurwitz is very knowledgeable about Haydn and a fair amount of Classical and Romantic era music It's impressive to listen to him explain the form of particular pieces of music before he gives his recommendations Watching his videos during the worst of the pandemic was one of my few joys

Hurwitz is a gem and whenever I explore a new piece, I always look up his recommendations With that said, he can be a bit snooty overly critical of more modern performances anf conductors, even though said performances and conductors are amazing
