- Santander Credit Card - MoneySavingExpert Forum
I believe Santander allows more than one credit card The best way to check is to go onto Santander's website and apply directly on there, as they have an eligibility checker which does a soft search on your credit file and you will know of your chance of being accepted (and credit limit)
- Santander No Fee 0% BT Offer - MoneySavingExpert Forum
Undeterred, I immediately tried the Santander eligibility checker direct, which, after entering identical details (to the penny!) gave my chances as "Highly Likely" Card arrived 4 days later with a £6,600 credit limit So well worth checking direct with santander if you are given a straight no by the MSE app
- Santander Credit Card - MoneySavingExpert Forum
Hello everyone I want to apply for a credit card, the Santander Everyday Credit Card but the eligibility checker says I won’t be able to get it but this happened last time when it said I won’t be to get the Santander Zero Credit Card but I took a risk and I got accepted with a credit limit of £1400 which is now £1900 after 6 months (applied for the CC about 12 months ago)
- Santander 123 credit card eligibility checked - MoneySavingExpert Forum
Hi all I was wondering how accurate the mse eligibility checker is I've just opened a Santander 123 current account and am thinking of applying for 123 credit card According to eligibility checker I only have 30% chance of being approved and I don't understand why my chances are so low

You have no credit history by the sounds of it, hence the fake 999 credit score Try an eligibility checker to see what you might be able to get Being higher risk, you may need to start lower down the food chain As long as you clear in full, any card will serve your purpose I certainly have a credit history, mainly with car finance
- Repeat Eligibility Checks - MoneySavingExpert Forum
A couple of months ago I did the Santander Edge credit card eligibility check (the 2% cashback is tempting) and the result said "Good News, you're less than likely to be accepted" which made me laugh
- New Santander credit card - MoneySavingExpert Forum
It is £3 pm for the credit card, having an Edge account is not a requirement, only a Santander current account is required The linked article is pretty good in breaking it down Max effective cashback in year 1 is 1 6% at the sweet spot of £750 per month spend, any more or less the effective rate decreases In year 2 it is a max of 0 8% at a spend of £1500 pm, again reducing if more or
- Can you see what your credit limit will be before approval?
Some providers will give an indicated credit limit on a soft search directly on their own websites Don't use comparison sites like MSE's and others, as they are 'guessing' at best your eligibility They don't have the intricate knowledge of exactly what each card provider is looking for, and uses data in a different way to estimate your chance of success against others in a similar position
- Eligibility Checker - MoneySavingExpert Forum
I had the same response when I used the checker Zero chance for the new Santander cards but, as others have said, I tried the eligibility checker with the card issuer direct and hey presto, 3 days later the card is on it's way I opted for the 18months 0 fee 0% balance transfer over the longer card simply because the longer card has a fee
- HSBC Credit Card Declined and having to wait 6 months to reapply
So I've switched my Santander current account and savings over to HSBC and was going to move over my credit card too
