Autozone scanned my 05 BMW 745Li for the code P0444 P0444 Evap Emission Control System Purge Control Valve Circuit Open It turned out to be the fuel tank breather valve which was stuck open (sporadically) Certified side shop I found on craigslist quoted me $250 for the entire repair Took a little under 2 hours

All, My brake pedal is hard upon initial start up and cannot be pressed until the car starts then I can press on the brake which will allow me to put pressure So far I have changed out the vacuume hoses, check valve and clamps to make sure there is no vacuume leak and what my indy prescribed However brake pedal seems fine once applied while driving it still concerns me why its hard upon

Anyway, TriState offered to sell me a blem'ed Group 49 (HUGE, 38% more cranking amperage, 33% more capacity than the stock Group 92 battery) for $50 So I'm just going to do that, AGM would cost 3x more The only grommet I saw was a little plastic plug near the positive battery cable

I think on the X5, the torque specs are listed near the battery It was one of those weird situations that doesn't make sense, but that was once the case for me I'll check tomorrow to see if I can read codes in accessory mode on mine
