The scores on Monkeytype's leaderboard are comical and I can guarantee are way faster than any other typing test on the internet 15-sec tests and 10-word tests especially have exacerbated this issue I understand that Monkeytype can be highly customized to provide a typing test that better reflects your true typing speed

Monkeytype gives you 2 metrics on the graph - WPM and raw In my google searching, it seems that raw is your WPM if you didn't make mistakes But this doesn't really make sense, as when you get 100%, the lines are still different

Keybr is much better as a beginner than monkey type I actually started at TypingClub just to get familiar with which finger to type which keys, once I was a comfortable I then progressed to keybr got green on all letters, I am now using monkeytype which seems the next logical step Long road ahead Each site seems to have it's advantages, I would have been frustrated to start on monkeytype
