Actually, with discount airlines like Frontier, Allegiant, and Spirit, they do tend too drop prices significantly much closer to the date of the flight but which flight day time and when they do it can be unreliable

We would use the card exclusively for Allegiant travel though, only using it to book airfare packages through Allegiant, probably 1-2x a year I think that the bonus introductory miles (15,000), 3x rewards on Allegiant bookings, and BOGO airfare make the $59 annual fee worth it, but I'm wondering what those with experience using the card or

Allegiant does have sales occasionally but the flights you want may or may not go on sale If you are comfortable with the $149, book it Allegiant has tiered pricing, x number of seats at a certain price, when they are sold the pricing moves up to the next tier (ie: $67 to $79 to $92 to $104 just examples, not actual prices)

According to the airlines (Allegiant and AirTran) that our flights are booked with, you need to show a birth certificate for anyone under 18 According to TSA's website, "children are not required to show identification"
