I open the program, I pick “Flash from file” I select the os file I want, Pop_OS, the program just stays stuck in a way I don’t know how to describe I’ve reinstalled BelanaEtcher and still have the same issue even after redownloading the Pop_OS file

Hi, I’ve been very happy with balenaEtcher-Portable-1 18 11 I looked for updates for Windows and I no longer see a Portable version Is it available somewhere other than the download page? Should I use the installer and just rename the executable? (I’ve seen that somewhere ) Thank you, pfloyd

I have Windows 10 on my computer and I am trying to create a bootable USB disk for either Linux Ubuntu or Mint I have downloaded both ISO files and I am now using BalenaEtcher to create the USB disks However after selecting ISO file (Actually “flash from file” in Etcher button), nothing happens I cannot select ether target nor Flash button I have tried to do this for both files Ubuntu

If you check out the Etcher download page, there are now both installer and portable versions available, so you can use choose which way you wanna use it, and you can use it on systems too where you cannot install software! (have a USB stick with other portable apps, for example, to always have your favorite tools with you!)

I’m using balenaEtcher (latest version) to create a bootable USB (SanDisk USB3 32GB) for LinuxMint but, it appears to run but then just appears to hang, continuing to say “Starting” Is this normal and will it just stay that way until it is finished? (Windows 11) Task Manager shows it’s not doing anything Does it need to be started in Admin mode to work? The Mint iso is on a network
