Realistically, how long does food poisoning take to "hit" you? I may have eaten 2 week old deli turkey ~28 hours ago, feel perfectly fine at this time I had two packages of turkey in the fridge, one new, one old and I'm not certain which one I ate now Google says anywhere from 30 minutes to 3 weeks so not the most helpful

Btw we don’t know exactly how much of the raw chicken we buy in the grocery store is contaminated but this study found that 43% of the samples examined contained salmonella I think that’s the reason why people freak out so much about cross-contamination with salmonella – just the fear of accidentally poisoning their loved ones!
