As an extra note to what Chris said, check if your school has a link on their site to Canvas Many institutions have a unique address for accessing Canvas If you are Google searching for Canvas, it takes you to a generic page for Free users that will be different from your school's login page This

Hi, Is it possible to restrict users to SSO when they are able to use it (i e , students and faculty) but still leave the Canvas login available as well for parents and others? Thanks!

If you have an external authentication system set up and one of your users clicks on the Forgot Password button on the Canvas login screen, it will let you put in an email to send a reset password link but it's likely the email will say that the password is managed by a different system This is what Kona is talking about

Some cannot login at all, has had them verfiy email multiple times with no luck Also, their usernames are long numbers and if they change it inside profile, it now shows 2 accounts and won't let them in at all On this free version, I can't do anything with usernames or passwords so I have 20 students who are just out of luck using canvas at all
